Classes and
Workshops
Children have always been an integral part of Revels -- as participants, audience, as inspiration, and as our future. For each Revels production, a group of children is chosen from a Houston school.

As part of its commitment to that school, Revels will work with them to identify ways in which Revels' professionals and volunteers can work within the school curriculum, thereby broadening the Revels experience to more than just the performing students. Examples of this broader involvement include bringing Revels' artists into the school for performances and discussions. Revels can also serve as a catalyst for involvement of others, up to the mounting of independent productions by the school itself.

Revels also conducts all-teacher educational music workshops, led by Revels' founder John Langstaff. These workshops are approved by the Houston Independent School District for Continuing Education Credits.
