Description
|
The Lone Star Croatian Club (LSCC) in Houston was started in 1984 by people who had a special love for Croatia. Over the years the club has grown not only in membership, but also in activity. Members of Croatian origin gather together to celebrate their past and delight in the heritage of their ancestors. One of the goals of the LSCC is to initiate involvement and interest from the young second and third generation Croats. By involving Croatia's children in the events and tradition, the heritage of Croatia continues to evolve.
Members also gather at Christmas parties and meetings which are held at the Winchester Country Club. The greatest event for the club is the annual Slavic Heritage Festival where the culture, food and folklore of Croatia and other Slavic nations are celebrated.
