Description	In 1993 Kathy Wood met the dancers of a street crew performing at a Houston street festival. Kathy's choreography of their hip hop movement to classical music by Vivaldi resulted in piece called "Out of Context". The popularity of this first piece enabled the group to enter the contemporary dance scene with a fresh, new dance form that is continued today by FLY Dance Company. In 1995, Kathy and her dancers added community outreach to its program by creating the first of FLY's educational shows. Now FLY has six school and community outreach programs available. As natural role models, FLY dancers carry important messages to youth about making positive life choices.
