The Brazoria County Historical Museum is located in Angleton, Texas in the heart of Stephen F. Austin's Colony. This is where Texas began its emergence as an independent nation. A regional museum, BCHM houses a national award-winning Austin Colony exhibit chronicling the birth of that nation and the frontier experience that has so marked the American character.
