Description	An outdoor art park celebrating the placement of public art in natural, open settings. Located at 500 Allen Parkway and several other locations throughout Houston, Buffalo Bayou ArtPark showcases installations from artists from across the country. The Artpark merges nature and art, placing significant pieces on the edge of the bayou. BBAP traces its history to a spontaneous guerrilla show held on the site of the farmerīs market that once existed on the banks of Buffalo Bayou across from what is now the Wortham Theater. Since then, with the cooperation of the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, BBAP has provided honoraria for artists across the country to install outdoor work in an artpark located near the Sabine Street Bridge outside downtown as well as various other locations in Houston. All BBAP exhibits are free and located in areas that are easily accessible to the public.
