Participants in the April 2004 César Chávez Parade on Houston's east side included Mayor Bill White (Parade Marshall), U.S. military veterans, high school ROTC programs, marching bands, cheerleaders, voter registration advocates, community volunteers, traditional ballet folklorico performers, Houston Metro transit employees, city council representatives, and more.
